Machined Pulley
Machined Pulleys, typically referred to as “turn steel” pulleys, are made from a single piece of bar stock steel. The material used is 12L14 or a similar material that is suitable for its ease of machining and its acceptance of secondary processing. In addition to the machined groove, these pulleys can be produced to be fitted with split steel pulleys of various diameters and groove sizes by either a weld or braze joint construction. Secondary processing includes keyways, threaded holes for setscrews, insertion of bushings, and other customer requirements. These machined pulleys range in diameters from 1 ¾” – 3” depending on the size of the I.D. The length of the machined pulleys can vary depending on the requirement of the customer.
